Toyota Kuragaike Memorial Hall

The Toyota Kuragaike Memorial Hall is built on a plateau that commands an overview of prefectural Kuragaike Park to the south. The building can be seen from anywhere in the park. A monumental presence is expressed in plan by two large triangles, one sunken and one above ground. The building houses two main functions - exhibition and guestroom facilities - each housed in one of the triangles. The two sections are linked with a passage, providing a rich spatial experience for visitors and users alike.
