Makuhari Messe II, North Hall

Makuhari Messe II, North Hall is an expansion of Makuhari Messe I. The success of local and international events at Phase I created even more diverse demands, and resulted in the need for this expansion. In contrast with Phase I's silhouette (formed in the image of a mountain range), the roofscape of Phase II is a shifting form that incorporates both convex and concave curves. The dynamic skyline created from these two curves gives a new identity to the ever-changing waterfront at Makuhari.
